Begin communicationg about the survey at least 2 weeks before the start date.

In your communication, make sure to answer the following questions:

  • What will employees gain from participating in the survey?
  • How will you use the results of the survey?

Clear communication will increase responserate.

Optional: additional countries*

Will you conduct the survey in multiple countries and want to be in the running for multiple national Best Workplaces titles?

Step 3: Set up the survey

You set up the survey in our online platform Emprising, this is also where you will view the results after the survey has closed.

You have received an email from support@greatplacetowork.com. This email contains instructions on how to log in to Emprising.

Watch this video for more information.

Employee Data File (EDF)

It is important that the Employee Data File (EDF) is completed correctly. This will make the results easier to interpret and improve the reliability of the analysis. If you have any questions about the EDF, please contact your point of contact or email support@gptw.se.

Read this article for more information on how to pre-code demographics using the EDF.*

*Only possible with Accelerate.

Step 4: When the survey is live

We recommend keeping the survey open for two weeks. The survey will then close automatically if the minimum response rate has been reached. If not, the survey will automatically be extended by an additional week.

Culture Brief

During the survey period, you will complete the Culture Brief. This can be found in the Customer Portal in Emprising. Completing and submitting the Culture Brief is mandatory in order to be eligible for certification.

Read this article for more information about Culture Brief.

Culture Audit

The Culture Audit is a submission consisting of a descriptive text explaining how your culture stands out and/or excels compared to other workplace cultures. This is mandatory for companies with 250+ employees.*

Read this article for more information about Culture Audit.

Communication

Once the survey is live, it is important to continue encouraging employees to participate. For example, you can send friendly reminders, share participation updates, or ask managers to mention the survey during team meetings.

Step 5: After the survey

Results

After the survey closes, results are immediately available in Emprising.

Communication

Communication is also essential after completion of the survey. Thank employees for their participation and inform them about the next steps, including how you plan to work with the results.

Your organization is Great Place To Work-certified if you meet the following requirements:

• A score of 70%* or higher on the Trust Index

Important information about the award Sweden’s Best Workplaces

To receive a Great Place to Work certification is not the same as being one of Sweden’s best workplaces. This is a separate process, and the ranking is announced during a grand celebration each year, usually at the end of March. Only those who end up on the list of Sweden’s Best Workplaces are entitled to call themselves just that.

During 2026 there are 65 organizations ranked as Sweden’s Best Workplaces.

If you are not on this list, you are not entitled to call yourself one of Sweden’s best workplaces.

If you are in the list recognition process, our consultant will reach out to you in advance in order to prepare the communication and PR that follows. Listed organizations also receive a specific logo, valid for a year.
